An M-class flare fired off from the Sun earlier today registering a M4 from sunspot region 1387. A double halo CME was reported by SDO and is Earth directed.

We should experience the effects of this event within 72 hours. It has been quiet over the last two weeks, but winter storms in the northern hemisphere may escalate as a result of today's event.

In viewing the farside (backside) of the Sun, we can see several sunspot regions will be rotating around the western limb over the next five days. As viewed in the above graphic, you can see poised to produce moderate to large activity.

Fireball Captures Attention of Hundreds of Sky Watchers

Several European news agencies from Germany, Holland, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, and the Czech Republic are reporting a large fireball streaked the sky on Christmas Eve December 24th.

A spokesperson for the German Aerospace Center, the country's national aerospace research institute, told a local newspaper that the celestial phenomenon was "99.9 per cent" certainly a meteor.

However, officials from the Royal Observatory of Belgium disagreed, saying Sunday in a statement on its website that the streak of light was from the atmospheric re-entry of the final stage of a Soyuz rocket that launched on Wednesday and delivered three astronauts to the International Space Station two days later.

CME TARGETS MARS, EARTH: New sunspot 1387 erupted during the late hours of Christmas Day, producing an M4-class flare and hurling a CME toward Earth and Mars. Click to view an animated forecast track prepared by analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab:
The CME is expected to deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field on Dec. 28th at 1200 UT and a direct hit to the planet Mars on Dec. 30th at 1800 UT. Using onboard radiation sensors, NASA's Curiosity rover might be able to sense the CME when it passes the rover's spacecraft en route to Mars. Here on Earth, NOAA forecasters estimate a 30-to-40% chance of geomagnetic storms on Dec. 28th when the CME and an incoming solar wind stream (unrelated to the CME) could arrive in quick succession. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras on Wednesday night. Aurora alerts: text, voice.

BEAUTIFUL BLAST: After three years of deep quiet, the sun woke up in 2011. Sunspots and solar flares became commonplace again as long-awaited Solar Cycle 24 got underway. One of the most beautiful eruptions of the young solar cycle occured just this past weekend. Rogerio Marcon of Campinas SP Brasil photographed the blast on Christmas Eve:
"I made a time-lapse video of the eruption," says Marcon. "What a wonderful Christmas present." While Marcon was recording the event from Earth, NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory was doing the same from Earth-orbit. It was beautiful up there, too.

This explosion was not Earth-directed. Next time, however, could be different. The source of the blast, sunspot 1386, is turning toward Earth, increasing the chances of a geoeffective flare in the days ahead. Solar Flare alerts: text, voice.

One way to gauge the magnitude of an impending volcanic eruption is to determine the size of its "throat" - the internal tube through which magma travels upward to the surface. The larger the tube, the bigger the eruption is likely to be.

Hiroyuki Tanaka of the University of Tokyo reasoned that the throat could be "x-rayed" with energetic muons produced in cosmic-ray showers. The number of muons passing through the volcano would depend on the density of intervening rock, so measuring the number of muons passing through various parts of the volcano could yield a crude, 3-D view of the interior.

The year 2012 will bring a series of increased public announcements addressing recent scientific findings and its connection to ancient text. It will be done with caution, sensitivity, and a great deal of responsibility due to human natures vulnerability to change. ..... Even if it is good.

I am placing an urgent call to you, yes to you. Those who believe in what ECM has been bringing to you since 1995. It is the science of cycles which has brought the modern world of science, together with the ancient world of ancestry, which tells the story of our current times.

What I need is for just one person, and I hope it is you, as you read this pledge and recognize its importance. I now realize, it will be through my books which will disseminate the knowledge needed to help the much larger international circle, have access to this new understanding of our Sun, Earth, Galaxy (Milky Way) and perhaps most importantly ..... Us .....

I pray that this one person, you, has the means to purchase 1000 books (at cost - $11 each) of 'Solar Rain: The Earth Changes Have Begun' - and give them away. Yes, give them away.
**If you have a partner to split the purchase, this can be done 1 thru 10 parcels.

A link has been provided HERE: http://bit.ly/oiFRcl to order 1000 books, or, an alternative 500 books option for you and a partner. After opening the link - sign in using your current username and password - then click on the tag "Add/Renew Subscription" then click the drop-down menu on "Select Product" and "Select Payment Method". Under the "Select Product," choose 1000 Copies 'Solar Rain' or 500 Copies 'Solar Rain'.

You can also send a check or money order to our mailing address:Earth Changes Media, PO Box 781235, San Antonio, Texas 78278. *If you forgot your username and/or password, reply to this email and I will get it right to you.
I would start with as many libraries as possible, both foreign and domestic. Schools, at high school level, community colleges, and universities. Small scientific communities such as amateur astronomers, rocket hobbyist like the Amateur Rocketry Society of America. And of course, religious and metaphysical churches or organizations who have an interest in prophecy. I wouldn't leave out more reserved religions such a Catholics. I can tell you, the Pope is very much aware of what is unfolding, and current and upcoming events are not in conflict with biblical readings.

The book is "Solar Rain: The Earth Changes Have Begun"and has been endorsed by highest-level scientists, historical religious and cultural experts, and educators in disaster relief such as FEMA. Table of Contents: http://bit.ly/rIYmY6

Mitch Battros presents fascinating, and sometimes shocking, research from the world's top scientists. After years of dialogue with these experts, Mitch has been accepted into the guarded halls of NASA, NOAA, ESA, Royal Observatory, the US Naval Observatory and other highly esteemed scientific bodies. In addition to the latest research on the Sun's influence on our "weather".

Mitch also presents ground-breaking evidence of how the Sun and other celestial orbs produce 'charged particles' and their impact on humanity.

Just as the Sun's solar activity affects the Earth's magnetic field which has a dramatic affect on Earth's "weather" i.e. earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, hurricanes; so does this wave of electrical currents affect the human body's magnetic field. Mitch also reveals a little-known development from modern medicine known as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). TMS provides empirical evidence of how magnetic fields can influence human emotions.

Solar Cycle 24 has begun - and it has been predicted by NASA, NOAA and ESA to be up to 50% stronger than its 'record breaking' predecessor Cycle 23 which produced the largest solar flare ever recorded. The Sun will reach its 'apex' (maximum) in late 2011 into 2012.

"I believe it will be the magnetic influence produced by the Sun which will usher in what is described by our ancient ancestors as "the transition" bringing us to a new state-of-being". (Mitch Battros)

FARSIDE ERUPTION: Departing sunspot AR1384, currently located just behind the sun's western limb, erupted today around 14:45 UT. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory photographed the debris flying over the edge of the solar disk:
The eruption appears to be connected to magnetic filaments snaking over the horizon to the Earthside of the sun. Will this event affect our planet? Probably not. It is located too far from disk center. Stay tuned, however, to see what kind of CME the blast produced.
